CONDUCTORS
(Thermal class H)
The conductors used are made from electrolytic copper wire or
strip, coated with modified polyesterimid
or with 2 sheets of Nomex insulator.
For currents greater than 200A, either soft annealed electrolytic
copper or soft annealed electrolytic
aluminum strip may be used.

MAGNETIC
CORE (Thermal class C)
The magnetic cores are made exclusively from top-grade oriented-grain
magnetic strip (Terni M6T35 or better), with controlled and guaranteed
magnetic properties. For special components, C cores are used. |
|
INSULATION
(Thermal class H)
Insulation inside the winding is made exclusively from aramid paper
(NOMEX T410). Insulation outside the winding is made exclusively from
polyester or epoxy glass. |
|
RESINS
(Thermal class H)
The impregnation process calls for the use of unsaturated polyester
resin which is flexible, fungus resistant, mold resistant, condensation
resistant, conforms to tropicalization and provides protection also
in acid and saline environments. Special applications may provide
for the use of epoxy resins. |

TERMINALS
(Thermal class H)
Terminals are made according to currents and conductors, as follows:
- Terminal in tin-plated copper, crimped and soldered to the output
conductor and secured to a
polyester glass base with screws of adequate diameter.
- Aluminum or copper bars (mainly for strip conductors and high
currents) with holes for abutting
another bar or terminal.
- CUPONAL bars for aluminum windings with copper external connections;
this material eliminates problems connected with electronic exchanges
between different materials.

ARMATURES
Armatures are made exclusively from FE 37 or nonmagnetic stainless
steel.
